Shaanxi Nanfang Motor Technology Co., Ltd. serves as the premier authorized distributor of Wolong. Founded in 1984 and listed on the Shanghai Stock Exchange in 2002 (code SH600580), Wolong Electric Drive Group Co., Ltd. has established a formidable global footprint. Spanning over three decades of dynamic industrial development, Wolong now manages 3 manufacturing bases, 39 state-of-the-art factories, and 3 global R&D centers.
With a steadfast commitment to high-performance electric drive control systems, Wolong dominates the international market. The group represents a strategic convergence of historic century-old motor brands, forming a powerhouse of technological innovation, advanced testing facilities, and localized global support networks.
Delivering verified OEM motors directly from global manufacturing hubs to guarantee authenticity, full warranty compliance, and local engineering integration support.
Empowering global industrial buyers with pre-sales layout configuration, structural customization, and specialized certification support for hazardous areas.
In the modern industrial landscape, electric motor-driven systems (EMDS) consume more than 53% of global electricity. Consequently, optimization within the low voltage (LV) AC induction motor segment represents a crucial step toward achieving net-zero carbon goals. The transition from older IE1 and IE2 standards to IE3, IE4, and IE5 ultra-high-efficiency ratings is driven by strict regulatory changes worldwide. In the European Union, Commission Regulation (EU) 2019/1781 enforces strict minimum energy efficiency standards for induction motors, highlighting the importance of verified CE certification.
At the same time, heavy industrial sectors such as oil and gas, petrochemicals, mining, and maritime transport face challenging operating environments. Equipment in these industries must withstand explosive gases, conductive dust, high moisture, and saline corrosion. As a result, global engineering procurement teams look for manufacturers that can supply both standard and highly specialized, explosion-proof motors (such as Ex d, Ex e, and Ex tb) under a single, unified quality standard.
To deliver advanced drive technologies across the globe, Wolong has systematically acquired several of the world’s most respected motor manufacturers. This strategy integrates decades of European and American engineering heritage with highly efficient manufacturing processes.
Wolong's low voltage AC induction motors are designed and built to perform reliably under continuous duty conditions. Below is an engineering breakdown of the key components:
Our rotors feature a robust squirrel-cage design. For standard and medium-sized designs, we use centrifugal or high-pressure die-cast pure aluminum to integrate the rotor bars and end rings into a single, durable component. This structure ensures excellent electrical conductivity and high starting torque. For larger frame sizes and demanding start-stop cycles, we use copper bar rotors with specialized welded joints and custom retaining rings. This design prevents thermal stress damage and mechanical distortion during high-speed operation.
The stator core is wound using high-grade copper wire, insulated with polyester film and glass-fiber reinforced tape. It features premium mica tape (with high mica content) to handle electrical and thermal stresses. The completed stator undergoes a state-of-the-art Vacuum Pressure Impregnation (VPI) process. This deep impregnation eliminates internal air pockets, creating a moisture-resistant, mechanically solid winding block with Class F or Class H thermal durability.
Developed using multi-physics computer simulations, our motor frames are made of high-tensile cast iron or welded steel. The housing features deep cooling fins to maximize heat dissipation and isolate operating vibrations. Precise machining tolerances ensure perfect shaft alignment, minimizing bearing wear and mechanical noise.
The cooling system includes an aerodynamic fan cover, guide cylinder, protective mesh, and internal baffling. The side-inlet design maintains efficient airflow even when space is limited. Sound-absorbing lining inside the cover significantly reduces high-frequency fan noise. It meets IP22 protection requirements to prevent accidental contact with the fan blades.
