Engineered for extreme reliability, maximum energy efficiency, and certified safety compliance across hazardous environments.
The global industrial landscape is undergoing a massive transformation powered by the electrification of heavy assets and strict regulatory targets aiming for decarbonization. Electric motors currently consume over 45% of global industrial electricity, placing them at the epicenter of energy conservation initiatives. In high-stakes applications—including deep-shaft coal mines, petrochemical refineries, marine propulsion systems, and aerospace engineering—the selection of electric motors dictates not only operating efficiency but also ultimate environmental protection and regulatory compliance.
As a premier supplier and globally established factory resource, Shaanxi Nanfang Motor Technology Co., Ltd bridges the gap between state-of-the-art power demands and severe field execution. Through our authorized distributor channels with Wolong Electric Drive Group Co., Ltd (established in 1984, listed on the Shanghai Stock Exchange, code SH600580), we leverage a formidable manufacturing array of 3 R&D centers and 39 advanced production facilities globally to serve markets in over 58 countries.
Modern motor procurement is no longer about matching basic power and speed ratings. It involves navigating complex global compliance frameworks (CE, ATEX, IECEx, CSA, UL) and integrating next-generation drive control topologies such as variable frequency drives (VFD) and permanent magnet synchronous motors (PMSM) to future-proof operations against energy cost escalations.
We distribute Wolong's comprehensive power ranges, including industry-leading sub-brands that represent over a century of precision motor development.

A deep dive into the mechanical details, structural redundancy, and materials science that define Wolong's electric motors.
The rotor features the squirrel cage design, with cast aluminum rotors being widely utilized. These rotors are produced using either centrifugal aluminum casting or die-casting techniques, where molten pure aluminum is poured into the slots of the rotor core, resulting in a single-piece construction that integrates the rotor bars and end rings.
The structural integrity and manufacturing process of cast aluminum rotors guarantee the motor rotor's reliability, and also endow the motor with outstanding torque properties. For larger capacity motors, copper bar rotors are employed, which benefit from dependable bar securing and end ring welding procedures. Additionally, the protective ring design of high-speed motors further ensures the reliable operation of the copper bar rotor.
The coil is crafted from polyester film and reinforced with glass cloth, utilizing either low-powder mica tape with a high mica content or medium-powdered mica tape with an abundance of mica. Following the VPI (Vacuum Pressure Impregnation) process, a pristine white coil emerges from the production line.
After the billet is extracted from the wire, it proceeds through the VPI process to transform into a finished unit. The winding and insulation are meticulously engineered to provide exceptional electrical performance, mechanical strength, resistance to moisture, and thermal stability under long-term thermal load profiles.
The motor frame employs a fully digital platform for structural and fluid multi-physics field simulations. This simulation platform retains the original patent's structure and design, utilizing mature, high-strength cast iron (or steel as an alternative).
The frame boasts exceptional structural redundancy, outstanding heat dissipation properties, and ample inherent frequency isolation margins for the entire machine. It is engineered to endure significant mechanical shocks, maintain a superior vibration level, and ensure a lower temperature increase in the motor, safeguarding internal winding lifetimes.
The low-noise fan cover system comprises a fan cover body, an air guide cylinder, a protective window, and a silencer plate. Its compact structure and lightweight design facilitate vibration reduction.
The air inlet is situated on the side, which optimizes the avoidance of obstacles behind the motor, minimizing adverse effects on ventilation and reducing noise caused by energy loss during propagation path changes. The system also incorporates sound-absorbing materials that absorb noise, thereby lowering the overall motor noise. Additionally, the fan cover is rated IP22, ensuring that hands cannot come into contact with the fan.
We maintain a comprehensive certification portfolio to remove international trade barriers and meet local explosion-proof and efficiency requirements.

Adhere to the comprehensive marketing strategy for the electric motor and the entire industry chain: WOLONG has secured the majority of product certifications, enabling it to penetrate the international market.
From underground mining shafts to petrochemical refineries, Wolong motors run the world's most critical infrastructures.
Wolong's engineering designs deliver continuous output in environments that challenge standard motor frames. Our motors power fans, compressors, high-pressure pumps, and heavy mining conveyors globally.
Typical application environments include deep-shaft coal mines where combustible coal dust and methane gas require certified flameproof motors (like the YBK3 and TBVF series). Similarly, in high-pressure oil and gas chemical processing plants, vapor hazards demand Zone 1 and Zone 2 protection profiles.
Our motors also serve emergency response operations, such as high-temperature fire-rated installations where exhaust ventilation must continue running under intense heat (using our WXF squirrel-cage motors).
