Examining the structural mechanics of our explosion-proof motors
Our cast aluminum rotors are manufactured using centrifugal casting or high-pressure die-casting, forming a single-piece structure that integrates the rotor bars and end rings. This design minimizes internal air pockets, offering high mechanical strength and reliable torque start characteristics. For large-scale motors, copper bar rotors are used. These feature welded copper bars and end rings, supported by high-speed protective retention rings. This construction ensures stable operation under severe structural stress and frequent start-stop cycles.
Stator coils are wrapped with high-mica-content polyester film and glass-fiber reinforced tapes. The complete assembly undergoes a Vacuum Pressure Impregnation (VPI) process using solvent-free resins, producing a dense, void-free insulation layer. This process provides excellent dielectric strength, resistance to moisture, and thermal stability (Class F or H), ensuring reliable operation and electrical longevity in hot, humid, or chemically aggressive environments.
Developed using multi-physics structural and fluid simulation tools, our high-strength cast iron and steel frames feature excellent mechanical rigidity and thermal dissipation properties. These heavy-duty casings are built to contain internal explosions without deformation or gas venting. High structural stiffness dampens vibrations and isolates natural frequencies, keeping bearing wear low and extending the operating life of the motor.
The low-noise ventilation system consists of an engineered fan cover, air guide cylinder, protection window, and sound-absorbing silencer plates. Featuring a side-inlet design, the assembly minimizes air turbulence and propagation losses, lowering overall motor noise. The IP22-rated protective guard prevents debris ingress while maintaining optimal cooling airflow to prevent hotspots.
