Industrial Motor Rotor Squirrel Cage Design

Centrifugally Cast Squirrel-Cage Rotors

Our rotors employ high-purity cast aluminum produced using advanced centrifugal casting or precision die-casting techniques. Molten pure aluminum is injected into the high-grade lamination slots of the rotor core, forming a seamless, single-piece structure comprising the rotor bars, end rings, and integrated cooling blades. This eliminates structural voids, resulting in higher mechanical integrity and outstanding starting torque curves.

For high-capacity low-voltage and high-voltage applications, copper bar rotors are utilized. Copper bars are securely locked into the rotor slots and welded to the end rings using computer-controlled brazing processes. High-speed motors are further equipped with high-tensile retaining rings to prevent radial displacement under severe centripetal force.

VPI Processed High-Insulation Stators

The stator winding is designed to withstand extreme thermal, electrical, and environmental stresses. Coils are wound using high-grade, double-insulated copper wire wrapped with multiple layers of polyester film and glass cloth reinforced mica tape. The system utilizes low-powder or medium-powder mica tape containing rich mica content to provide maximum dielectric strength.

To eliminate air pockets and guarantee moisture-proof operations, the fully wound stator core is subjected to Vacuum Pressure Impregnation (VPI). This involves vacuuming out all air and moisture from the slots, injecting high-solid epoxy solventless resin, and curing it under high pressure and temperature. The resulting monolithic insulation system offers superior heat dissipation, high mechanical rigidity against electromagnetic forces, and excellent resistance to chemical vapors.

FEA Optimized High-Strength Frame Structure

Engineered using advanced finite element analysis (FEA) and fluid dynamics simulation platforms, our motor frames are cast from premium grey iron or fabricated from heavy-plate structural steel. This dual design approach provides excellent structural rigidity, dampening mechanical vibrations (complying easily with ISO 10816 standards) and isolating structural resonant frequencies from the electrical supply frequency.

The cooling fins are strategically spaced and oriented to optimize laminar airflow across the motor surface, accelerating heat dissipation. This layout prevents localized hot spots, leading to lower internal temperature rise, longer winding life, and reliable operation in heavy industrial zones.

Low-Noise Aerodynamic Fan Hood Systems

The low-noise ventilation system incorporates an aerodynamic fan cover body, an air guide cylinder, a protective window, and structural silencer plates. The entire assembly is designed using computational fluid dynamics (CFD) to reduce vortex noise and windage losses.

By positioning the air inlets on the sides, the design minimizes obstacles behind the motor, reducing airflow restriction. Built-in acoustic damping materials absorb high-frequency fan noise, while the entire assembly maintains an ingress protection rating of IP22 (or higher upon request) to prevent accidental contact with the rotating fan blades.
