High-voltage induction, explosion-proof, marine-certified, and high-efficiency permanent magnet motors designed to withstand the most demanding environments globally.
In commercial buildings, heavy manufacturing facilities, offshore platforms, and subterranean mining corridors, climate control and mechanical ventilation are not secondary functions; they are critical pathways of operational continuity. The global demand for OEM A/C fan motor replacements is undergoing an unprecedented technological revolution. Historically considered mere electrical replacement parts, these systems are now expected to operate as smart, energy-efficient units capable of seamless integration into complex Building Management Systems (BMS) and hazardous-area networks.
As governments worldwide legislate strict carbon-neutral frameworks, industrial operations are under immediate pressure to phase out legacy, inefficient drive systems. The transition toward high-efficiency classes like IE4 and IE5 super-premium efficiency has made direct-replacement fan motors the highest-return retrofit option for engineering procurement specialists. When a massive cooling tower fan or ventilation air handler in an oil refinery fails, every hour of downtime results in substantial lost revenue. Procuring direct, drop-in replacement motors that are pre-certified to local environmental and explosive safety regulations is essential.
By transitioning legacy induction layouts to high-efficiency asynchronous or permanent magnet synchronous configurations, operations can curb HVAC electricity demands by 18% to 30%.
Explosion-proof fan motors certified to ATEX, IECEx, and CSA classes guarantee total safety in volatile environments handling dust, chemical vapors, or coal mining operations.
Utilizing digital multiphysics modeling, modern fan covers and structural frames prevent critical frequency resonance, ensuring lower noise emission and extended bearing lifespan.

Wolong's strategic integration of legendary global motor brands provides unmatched engineering expertise in the high-voltage and industrial OEM fan replacement markets.
In 2011, WOLONG acquired 97.94% of the Austrian ATB Group (ATB motor), one of the three major European motor manufacturers, positioning Wolong as a leading global supplier. The ATB Group includes Morley, a brand with over 130 years of history in underground coal mining equipment, synonymous with rugged design and reliability. Laurence Scott, another key brand, pioneered motor supply for British nuclear power plants and marine applications, engineering electric motors with exceptionally low starting currents. Under Wolong's management, the company has received the prestigious Queen's Award for three consecutive years.
Brook Crompton Motors subsequently joined the Wolong Group. Brook Motor is a premier player in the electric motor sector, with over a century of experience in high-performance electric motor design. By pioneering energy-efficient motor concepts, Brook Crompton has developed complete ranges of low-voltage, medium-voltage, and high-voltage AC motors, including the premium Brook Crompton "W" and "10" series. These motors are optimized for harsh environments, providing operators with adjustable speed drive packages that ensure high system reliability.
Schorch electric motor joined WOLONG in 2011. Since its establishment in 1882, Schorch has set the standard for high-quality heavy-duty driving systems, catering to oil and gas, chemical processing, power generation, wastewater management, tunnel ventilation, and shipbuilding. In parallel, WOLONG formed a partnership with OLI in 1999. Today, OLI is a world leader in vibration motors (MVE) and Ex vibration sensors, providing critical diagnostics for industrial systems worldwide.
In 2015, WOLONG Electric Nanyang Explosion-Proof Group Co., Ltd. (CNE), China's largest scientific research and production base for explosion-proof motors, integrated into the WOLONG Group. This integration consolidated Wolong's leadership in high-security environments like chemical and nuclear power plants. In 2018, GE's commercial and industrial motor division partnered with and joined the ranks of WOLONG. This collaboration supports Wolong’s global industrial capacity, providing heavy-duty drive systems for water treatment, mining, oil, gas, and petrochemical operations worldwide.
Understanding the internal components of our fan motors reveals why they deliver high uptime, structural stability, and thermal efficiency.
The rotor features a rugged squirrel-cage design, utilizing cast aluminum rotors produced via centrifugal casting or high-pressure die-casting. This process pours molten pure aluminum into the slots of the rotor core, creating a single-piece construction that integrates the rotor bars and end rings. This structural integrity guarantees high reliability and outstanding torque properties. For larger capacity motors, copper bar rotors are used, featuring robust bar-securing mechanisms and high-spec end-ring welding. A protective ring design on high-speed motors ensures stable performance under continuous load.
The coil is wound using high-grade polyester film reinforced with glass cloth, using low-powder mica tape with high mica content or medium-powdered mica tape. Following the VPI (Vacuum Pressure Impregnation) process, the coils are thoroughly sealed against moisture and airborne contaminants. The VPI system fills any voids in the windings, resulting in a robust structure with exceptional electrical performance, mechanical strength, moisture resistance, and thermal stability.
The motor frame is designed using digital multi-physics simulation platforms, integrating structural, electromagnetic, and fluid thermal analyses. Using high-strength cast iron (or optional structural steel), the frame design offers ample structural redundancy, heat dissipation, and frequency isolation margins. This allows the motor to withstand significant mechanical shock, maintain low vibration levels, and limit temperature rise, extending the service life of internal components.
The low-noise fan cover system includes a fan cover body, an air guide cylinder, a protective window, and a silencer plate. This compact, lightweight system reduces vibration. With a side air inlet design, the layout prevents airflow obstruction behind the motor, optimizing ventilation and reducing aerodynamic noise caused by flow turbulence. Sound-absorbing materials are integrated to lower overall operating noise. The fan cover meets an IP22 rating, preventing accidental contact with the rotating fan blades.
Procuring replacement A/C fan motors directly from our modern Chinese factories offers a distinct competitive advantage for global enterprises. Integrating advanced automation with an optimized industrial supply chain, our production lines achieve high manufacturing precision and consistency. This manufacturing scale allows us to source premium materials, such as high-grade electrical steel and high-purity copper, at lower costs.
Additionally, our design-for-manufacturing (DFM) approach means we can quickly customize shaft configurations, mounting dimensions, and electrical windings to meet specific client requirements. By maintaining control over the entire production cycle, from casting raw frames to final VPI curing and balance testing, we ensure that every motor complies with global standards, helping to lower total cost of ownership (TCO) for our partners.
Wolong's motor lineup is certified by major international testing agencies, facilitating seamless entry into regulated and hazardous environments worldwide.
